Certification Day returns to the ERA Real Estate International Business Conference on Friday March 16, 2011. This year we have five certification offerings, grab and go lunch available for purchase and a post certification course reception.
- All certification courses will be held at the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center. Shuttle service will be provided from the Marriott Hotel.
- To register for a certification course students will charged $0.01 (non-refundable) to secure their seat in the session. Students will be subject to a no-show fee of $50.
- Students should contact their local NAR chapter (prior to attending IBC) for instructions on how to apply these courses towards continued education credits.
- Space is limited, so reserve early. Registrations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Once a session is closed, students will be placed on a waitlist.

Office Coordinator Workshop
Offered specifically for office coordinators and administrators, but open to all; the Office Coordinators Workshop is designed to honor coordinators at IBC while sharing all the latest information on ERA products and services as well as insightful idea sharing. Enjoy presentations and Q&A sessions from the perspective of “How to use” all your innovatively favorite ideas and tools.
Refreshments and cool giveaways are provided so pre-registration is highly recommended! Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) Designation (a $499 value)

CDPE is one of the most sought after designations! CDPEs can provide solutions, specifically short sales, for homeowners facing market hardships. This new and intensive training course was developed in conjunction with Laurie Moore-Moore and The Institute for Luxury Home. This course was designed to help sales professionals who currently work in the upper tier move to the next level or to help those just beginning to target the luxury home market and jump-start their business! It assists in helping you obtain the materials, knowledge, and credentials you need to excel in the specialized market of luxury homes. Upon completion of this class, you will receive all the member benefits associated with the new program as well as a personalized marketing plan. Training is synonymous with becoming a member of the ERA® International Collection.
Note: This course is offered on March 14 and not March 17 as the other Certification Day courses.
GenerationBuy (a $99 value)
At any given time, today’s real estate professionals may be working with four generations of real estate buyers: Millennials, Generation X, the Baby Boomers, and Matures. This one-day course examines the home buying characteristics of these generations and evaluates their expectations (of agents and of the transaction) as well as communication preferences. As a turnkey resource, participants receive generation-specific marketing tools, networking tips, scripts, and counseling strategies to help formalize agency relationships. This course does not offer an official designation, however, please check with your local NAR chapter for continued education credit eligibility.
Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) Designation (a $200 value)
The overall goals of the ABR Designation course are to prepare real estate professionals to represent buyer-clients in real estate transactions and provide the quality of service and degree of fidelity to buyers. This course offers ideas and methods for building a buyer representation business and helps you develop a customized tool for conducting a buyer counseling session. To become certified, you must complete this IBC session, 2 virtual sessions, an exam, an elective course, documentation verifying five (5) completed transactions, and have a current NAR membership. Upon completion, you will receive an ABR title.
Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) Designation (a $295 value)

Home Staging is NOT decorating, fluffing, interior design or redesign! Home Staging IS detailing, de-cluttering, depersonalizing and preparing a seller’s home to give it a “model home” appearance so that the potential buyer can “see” themselves living in the home. Savvy home sellers and Real Estate Agents understand that in order to get offers and top dollar for their listings in the least amount of time, they need to professionally Stage® with an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP®), which starts with our Stage® Training Course. Just as home inspection has become a standard practice in real estate, ASP Home Staging services are in high demand and Stagers are needed! To become certified, you must complete this IBC 2 day session that included an offsite staging exercise on Saturday, March 17th. Upon completion, you will receive the following benefits:
- The ASP REAL ESTATE AGENT designation
- Listing of you on StagedHomes.com and the IAHSP website to advertise you as an ASP Real Estate Agent and access to The Staging University
- Continuing Education Credits available in some states
- ASP Course: Includes how to improve your listing presentation, overcoming client objections to Staging, Staging techniques detailed lecture, marketing ideas, slide shows of before and after photos of what can be accomplished in Staging, group discussion, questions, and business planning skills.
